Putney & Wood Starts Stone Cladding Installation On High Rise Residential Project In London

Putney & Wood has started installation of the stone cladding on Mount Anvil’s 27-storey residential tower.

The project is located on City Road near Old Street and is valued at £160million, with Putney & Wood’s stone contract worth approx £3m. Stonework design was finalised between November 2013 and May 2014 and installation of the Portuguese Moleanos limestone, which will be used to clad the facades, began in June 2014.

The development includes 276 new homes, commercial space and a public square and is due for completion in Summer 2015. Farrells is the architect, while Mount Anvil fulfills the dual role of developer and main contractor.
