Putney & Wood were appointed to deliver the external stone façade package at Kings Walk, a residential development located in the heart of Chelsea.
The scope comprised the design, supply, and installation of hand-set Moleanos CV limestone cladding, complemented by yellow granite plinth elements at ground level. All stonework was manufactured to detailed setting-out drawings to ensure consistency in jointing, alignment, and overall façade quality.
The façade was supported using stainless steel support and restraint fixings, integrated with insulation, cavity barriers, and associated façade build-up elements to meet performance and regulatory requirements.
Working closely with the project team, Putney & Wood undertook full design development, including the production of fabrication drawings, cutting sheets, and fixing details to suit the building structure and programme.
Delivered over a fast-track 6-week installation period, the project required careful coordination and efficient sequencing to maintain programme certainty within a constrained urban environment.
The completed scheme provides a clean and contemporary stone façade, enhancing the character of the surrounding Chelsea streetscape while delivering a durable and high-quality external finish.
