Alderman’s House

The Crosspoint, formerly Alderman’s House, is a major commercial redevelopment opposite Liverpool Street station in the City.  It is owned by Amsprop, (Alan Sugar’s property development business) and provides 41,500 sq ft of Grade A offices and 8,100 sq ft of retail space over seven floors.

While part of the façade of the original building was retained, part was replaced with new stone cladding. Following a competitive tender process, ISG appointed Putney & Wood as the stone contractor. Rolfe Judd specified Belgian Blue limestone for a new plinth, with Portland stone across three storeys above. The development also extended the building vertically by adding six additional floors. Putney & Wood installed 700m2 of the Lazonby sandstone to this part-glazed, part-stone new build element of the project.
