Cliveden Village is an award winning joint development between the National Trust & Countryside Properties. It is set in 376 acres of the Grade 1 listed Cliveden Estate and comprises of 135 luxury two and three bedroom homes, designed exclusively for the over 55’s.
Following a competitive tender process, Putney & Wood were awarded the external stone cladding contract by Countryside Properties. The contract included the design, supply and installation of the Witton Fell Buff sandstone from Cumbria.
The design of the façade required the stone cladding to be self-supporting rather than the traditional cladding method of storey level support brackets.
This former 14 acre brownfield site has received the ‘Building for Life’ Gold Standard award and won Silver at the 2013 What House? Awards, ‘Best Retirement Development’ category.
