Regent Street Block W4

This £46.5 million project is part of The Crown Estate’s £1bn redevelopment of Regent Street. The project scope included part-demolition behind a retained, Grade II listed façade and provides 135,000 sq ft of high-quality office and retail space over six floors.

After a successful tender process, Putney & Wood were awarded the external Portland stone cleaning and restoration package. On the Regents Street façade this included stone restoration one the first to fourth floors and then reinstating all stonework from the fifth floor and above. On the Burlington Street Façade the work was mixture of new build and the restoration of existing stonework and brickwork to all floors.

The project won the ‘Future Project Commercial, Mixed Use’ award in 2013 at the World Architecture Festival and was Highly Commended at MIPIM Architectural Review – Future projects Award 2014.
