St Paul’s School, London W6

St Paul’s School was founded in 1509 and is located on a prominent riverside site in Hammersmith. The new Science Building is a four-storey development with a striking, contemporary main entrance creating a new courtyard housing 18 state-of the-art laboratories.

Following a highly competitive tender process, Putney & Wood were awarded the external stone cladding contract by Mace the project’s main contractor. As part of the stonework package, Putney & Wood’s in-house design team interpreted the architect’s conceptual drawings to create detailed drawings of the stonework on each elevation. Following design their project team procured and expertly installed the specified Fletcher Bank sandstone. The stone cladding contract was completed on time and on budget, and with minimum disruption to the day-to-day running of the school.
